GOOD NEWS

Edinburgh University CUs had a joint Mission in February (A Time to Live) that went really well and really brought the CUs together as well as enabling them to share the Gospel.

They made 10,000 CDs instead of fliers and handed them out around the campuses.
They had gospel based Jazz and D&B style songs writen and played by local students and entitled them FREE LOVE. Many non-chrsitians thought they were brilliant!

Prayer Requests

* Teesside
Teesside CU have an alpha course starting in House groups this coming week. They ask for your support in prayer for the leadership of the groups and that members of the CU are confident to invite friends to them.

Teesside have a few events happening over the next few weeks and ask that you pray for what is said, peoples attitude, and that they have a good audience.
6th April Outreach in CU meeting, The Gen are comingfor a presentation.
8th April Outreach in Kingsway gym, Middlesbrough organised by Riverside Church.
13th April Prayer and Praise evening in CU main meeting. Testimonies will be shared. They ask that you pray that everything goes well.

* Durham
Their CU committee/exec are going away together. Please pray they have good fellowship and are refreshed, ready to serve.

* Edinburgh
Student Alpha course starts next term (Easter Monday). Please pray:
-That people would come along and that people who need to hear about it, will hear about it.
-That those leading it would have wisdom and a real sensitivity and gentleness when sharing, and that they'll state the truth unashamedly.

* Southampton
They are starting a week of early morning prayer, starting 27th March 2000, Praying for the University. They are starting their week by praying for other universities. Please send them your requests if you have any before the 27th. Their address is: sucu@soton.ac.uk

- Good attendance
- Excitement about prayer and see its importance
- Pray for them to see what is on Gods heart and that he would use it to glorify himself

* Coventry
Coventry CU have asked for prayer. - Growth of the Christian Union spiritually in faith, and strength in number.
- Speakers who bring the gospel's truth.
- Missions and missionaries at work worldwide.
- Leadership in the CU - commitment, conviction and service.
- One member (named Rob) is going on a mission to Mozambique shortly.
- A few members are also on a mission to Belgium.

* Portugal
